Sungwook Park is a Senior Research Fellow and Director at the Macroeconomic Research Division in the Korea Institute of Finance. He received his BA from Seoul National University, and his MA and PhD. in economics from the Ohio State University. Prior to joining the Institute, he worked at the Bank of Korea from 1994 to 2009. He also served as Deputy Secretary to the President for Economic Policy from 2018 to 2019 and as Senior Advisor to the Chairman of the Financial Services Commission from 2015 to 2016. His current research interests include monetary policy, household debts, and international capital flows.
