The Korea Institute of Finance was founded to provide expert analysis for the development of Korea's financial sector and financial policy.

Experience
Chung-Han Kim has been a Research Fellow at the KIF since 2008, focusing on international finance and financial markets. He previously was an Associate Professor at the College of Northeast Asia, Kwangwoon University. He has consulted the Financial Hub Division of the National Economic Advisory Council and also was a member of the Financial Cooperation Expert Forum made by the Ministry of Finance and Economy. He worked as an Associate Editor of the Review of Financial Economics published by the KIF. He earned his MA and PhD degrees in economics from the University of Washington and his BA in economics from Korea University.
He is the author or coauthor of numerous books and non-academic articles such as, "Costs of Maintaining Foreign Reserves and Estimation of Required Foreign Reserves" (KIF, 2009), The Economy and Economic Life (Doonam Press, 2006), Efficiency, Growth and Stability of Financial Industries in the Digital Megatrend (Minumsa, 2005). "Digitalization and Financial Economy" (Korea Information Strategy and Development Institute, 2004), "Chinese Financial Markets and Issues" (KIF, 2002), "Capital Flows and Exchange Rate Movements: Analyses and Forecasts" (KIF, 2001), and "A Policy Report on Cross-Border Financial Services Transactions" (KIF, 2000).
